Hallmark in Bloom winners announced

We are proud to announce the winners of Hallmark in Bloom, our company-wide gardening competition.

All of our homes across England and Wales have worked extremely hard to improve the quality of their gardens and demonstrate strong evidence of resident and community engagement.

The judging was done by Georgina Miller, Wellbeing Manager, Hayley Hughes from Plantology, as well as and Nick Mannion, our gardening expert in Wales, alongside Executive Chair, Avnish Goyal.

We are pleased to announce that our overall winner is Admiral Court Care Home in Leigh-on-Sea. Our runner ups are Ty Enfys Care Home in Cardiff.

Lifestyles Leader at Admiral Court Care Home, Sarah Savidge said: “Admiral Court team are super thrilled to have won this year’s Hallmark in Bloom Award!

“We are lucky to have very knowledgeable, passionate and talented gardeners who shared their vision and aim to have one of the best cared for gardens in the care industry.

“Team have diligently worked over the years on specific areas to improve upon. The vision was to create a green space for lawn games and growing flowers for cutting and creating a Flower shop.

“Bringing the outdoors inside and supporting residents to explore different areas for exercising and to relax and rejuvenate.

“Last year we won Best Activity Provision and were determined to win this year’s coveted Overall Spot! Finally, see the ‘fruits’ of many years of hard work and determination!”

Customer Relationship Manager, at Ty Enfys Care Home, Bethan Hurley said: “We are delighted to be announced as the runner up of this year’s Hallmark in Bloom. A lot of work goes into maintaining our beautiful gardens throughout the year from residents, team and their loved ones and so this is a wonderful acknowledgment for them. “

Wellbeing Manager, Georgina Miller said: “Year on year the efforts that are put into the garden to not just make them look beautiful, but more importantly, to make them accessible and functional for residents to be able to enjoy them to the fullest.

It is truly a testament to each and every homes commitment to our vision and charter, to be the leading provider of high-quality relationship-centred care, and a dedication to developing quality environments and high standards of care, which enable residents to enjoy life to the full, as individuals, in happy, comfortable, and safe surroundings.
