Shire Hall Care Home celebrates 15 years!

Our care home in Ely, Cardiff, celebrated 15 years since it first opened its doors recently with a Welsh themed event for residents, relatives, and members of the local community.

Shire Hall Care Home, which welcomed its first residents in 2007, recognised individuals who have contributed to its success at the event with champagne, a harpist and a caricaturist.

As part of the milestone event, the Mayor Councillor Graham Hinchey was also in attendance and long serving residents and team were recognised with a small gift of appreciation.

General Manager at Shire Hall Care Home, Karen Grapes said: “Shire Hall has touched the lives of so many people over the years. Not only the residents but their friends and family members as well. I have been supported by a fantastic team throughout the years and as a home we have developed strong and lasting relationships with healthcare professionals, community groups and many other organisations. I want to thank everyone who has helped us to deliver our promise that “the residents and team will be proud to say that they live and work at Shire Hall” and I look forward to many more years of success.”
