International Women’s Day – Hallmark’s Superhero Women
To celebrate International Women’s Day, we recently ran a competition across our homes and central support office to celebrate the influential women that inspire and empower those around them.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality.
Team members, residents and visitors could fill out an entry form to recognise those who had impacted their lives.
We received over 100 nominations and from that, chose 14 winners to receive a certificate and voucher in recognition for being a superhero woman!
Below are the winners and some snippets from their entries explaining why they were nominated.
