We’re delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for three National Dementia Care Awards.
Anya Court, our industry-leading care home in Rugby has been shortlisted for Best Dementia Team, alongside Admiral Court, our Outstanding care home in Leigh-on-Sea, which is shortlisted for Dignity and Respect Home.
At the same ceremony, Dementia Care Manager, Jessica Davies who also works at Admiral Court has been shortlisted for Inspiring Leader.
The awards, which were first established in 2009 by The Journal of Dementia Care, will seek to acknowledge care providers and individuals who have made a significant difference to the quality of life of people living with dementia.
At last year’s ceremony, Lifestyle Leader at Maycroft Manor, Emily Carver-Prue scooped the ‘Best Activity Lifestyle Lead’ title.
Speaking of the prestigious nomination, General Manager at Admiral Court Susan Cruse said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to be shortlisted for the Dementia Care Awards, I am very proud to be working alongside a very dedicated team who often work quietly behind the scenes to bring joy, happiness and comfort to the lives of people living with dementia and their families.”
Jessica Davies added: “Being a finalist for most inspiring dementia leader makes me feel so proud of what I have achieved at Hallmark Care Homes, the dementia strategy, the dementia training is just poles apart from what I have ever known – it’s easy to be inspiring when you have the right tools in the bag.”
The winners of the 13th National Dementia Care Awards will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at Winchester Cathedral on Thursday 13th July.
