It is located in a quiet location with good transport links on the outskirts of Caldicot in beautiful Monmouthshire, and is a purpose-built care home providing the highest standard of residential and nursing care in a warm and homely environment.
Our compassionate team provides relationship-centred care, with the needs and preferences of residents always at the centre. We recognise how stressful it can be moving from your own home to a new environment so we endeavour to make that transition as smooth as possible at our care home in Monmouthshire. We aim to support residents to continue to do the things they’ve always enjoyed and even experience new hobbies and interests, helping them to lead an active and independent life.
Our dedicated and highly experienced team offer 24 hour nursing leadership for residents with both simple and complex needs. Always putting the individual first, we work with each resident to put together a tailored nursing and care plan that’s right for them.
We want residents to continue enjoying the everyday routines they are familiar with wherever possible. All of our rooms have en-suite facilities and residents can bring their own furniture with them if they wish. Each room at Cherry Tree Care Home also has its own TV point, so residents are also able to bring their own familiar TV with them and regular visits from family and friends are encouraged. Our dedicated Lifestyles Team organises a packed calendar of events including regular quizzes, baking sessions, arts and crafts, and entertainment from local musicians. Our tastefully decorated open-plan lounge and dining room is warm and comfortable and leads onto our bright and airy conservatory. We also have a beautiful garden at our care home in Monmouthshire, looked after by residents. Indeed, many residents are keen contenders in the annual ‘Hallmark in Bloom’ competition.
To help residents settle in quickly, we ask them and their family to fill in an ‘About Me’ book so that we can get to know them and find out their likes and dislikes, their hobbies and interests, and how they like to be addressed. We can then tailor activities accordingly and modify our care to their interests and needs.
We encourage residents to get out and about, with regular supervised excursions to the theatre, park or the local shops in nearby Caldicot.

I’m the General Manager at Cherry Tree. I started working here back in 1992 and have been the General Manager for 11 years. I am a registered nurse and trained at the Royal United Hospital, Bath. We cherish our residents and support them to take part in a variety of activities that they may have felt they could no longer do. My favourite part of my job is simply spending time with residents and getting to know each and every one.
