Goodwins Hall serves up the best roast

The care home has taken part in a country-wide competition to serve up the best roast dinner.  Over a hundred entries were received and out of the many other fabulous dinner entries Goodwins Hall was named the runner up.

The competition was sponsored by Knorr and judged by marketing company William Murray.  The care home was tasked with planning two delicious, traditional Sunday roast that could be enjoyed by residents and team members.  Residents were then asked to vote for their favourite with the winning entry being submitted into the main competition.

The home worked hard on compiling a scrapbook entry along with testimonials from residents to win over the judges, consisting of pictures of the dinner being made, what exactly went into each element and, of course, pictures showing just how much the residents enjoyed the meal.

Keith Barnes, Goodwins Hall’s Hospitality Services Manager said, “This was such a great competition to take part in.  Everybody loves a traditional roast dinner and to be named runner up over so many other entries is amazing.  I know I’m looking forward to tucking into Sunday night’s dinner.”
