Hallmark Care Homes Shortlisted For Three National Awards

The 16th consecutive National Care Awards return later this month to celebrate the very best of the long-term care sector and we have been shortlisted for three awards including the prestigious ‘Care Group of the Year’.

We were winners of three awards at last year’s National Care Awards and will be hoping for the same again after being shortlisted in the following categories:

Care Group of the Year, Hallmark Care Homes

Resident Engagement, Carol Rhind, Bucklesham Grange

Care Housekeeper, Colette Roberts, Greenhill Manor

Making the final for ‘Care Group of the Year’ is especially rewarding. Finalists for this category had to demonstrate ‘outstanding care for residents’ and ‘excellent staff training results’. It tops off an excellent year for Hallmark Care Homes following the successful launch of new care communities in Warwickshire and Surrey and our fantastic achievements at the recent Wales Care Awards.

Carol Rhind, General Manager at Bucklesham Grange in Ipswich, has been shortlisted in the popular ‘Resident Engagement’ category after demonstrating a consistent quality of care through systematically seeking the views of residents and their loved ones and responding to their feedback. Carol, winner of ‘Care Home Manager of the Year’ at last year’s Great British Care Awards, said making the final was “recognition for the whole fantastic team” at Bucklesham Grange.

The National Care Awards finals in November will mark seven years in the job for Greenhill Manor’s Colette Roberts, who has been shortlisted for ‘Care Housekeeper the Year’. Mark McCole, General Manager of Greenhill Manor, said, “Colette shines in everything she does. She gets involved in so much at the home and makes a huge difference to the lives of our residents”

The National Care Awards is the longest established and biggest Care Awards. Following a rigorous and personalised judging process, using panels of independent judges, winners are revealed at a glamorous gala presentation night attended by over 700 people in the care sector. Wish us luck!
