Shire Hall to host Dementia Friends sessions

Shire Hall, our care home in Cardiff, is hosting two Dementia Friends’ session at the home to encourage visitors to learn more about the condition and to help raise awareness.

The sessions will be taking place on Thursday 3rd August at 4pm and Wednesday 9th August at 4pm at our residential, nursing and dementia home on Dumballs Road.

The informal and interactive sessions will be run by the homes Dementia Champion, Johnathan Walters, who is also the Customer Relationship Manager at Shire Hall.

The short sessions will explore what it’s like to live with dementia, how you can make someone who lives with dementia live a fulfilled life and the small things you can do to make a difference.

Visitors who complete the sessions will receive a Dementia Friends’ badge and some takeaway material from The Alzheimer’s Society.
