Cartref Annwyl Fan enjoy visit from Betws Primary School

Residents at Cartref Annwyl Fan, our care home in Ammanford, recently enjoyed a visit from Betws Primary School.

During the visit, the primary school children were given the opportunity to ask the residents what life was like when they were young and find out more about their past jobs. One resident revealed that she once cooked dinner for Prince Charles whilst another enjoyed talking about her time as a Police Officer.

Following lunch, the residents also had the opportunity to show the children the beautiful flowers they have been planting for our company-wide gardening competition, Hallmark in Bloom.

Lifestyles Team Leader at Cartref Annwyl Fan, Stacey Morris said: “It was so nice to see residents engaging in conversations with the children about their past, especially when they were talking about their past occupations.

“Whilst the children were visiting they also had a chance to practice their Welsh with the residents, which was really heart-warming to see.”
