Lakeview care workers shortlisted for Surrey Care Awards
Three team members from Lakeview, our care home in Lightwater, have been shortlisted for the prestigious Surrey Care Awards.
Josh Pegado, Ellie Toogood and Krissi-Lea Dawson, have been shortlisted in the ‘Ancillary Worker of the Year’, ‘Beyond the Call of Duty Award’, ‘Frontline Leader of the Year’ and ‘Most Innovative Activity Programme’ award categories.
Meanwhile, our residential and dementia home have also been shortlisted for the esteemed ‘Care Home Team of the Year’ title.
The Surrey Care Awards, established in 2008, seeks to acknowledge and celebrate the very best people in the care sector, in and around the Surrey area.
Lifestyle Leader, Krissi-Lea Dawson said: “I feel so proud and overwhelmed to have been named as a finalist for Frontline Leader of the Year and the Most Innovative Activity Programme for Service Users in the Surrey Care Awards 2018.
“The residents are at the heart of everything we do at Lakeview and it’s an absolute pleasure to work in their home. This is just the icing on the cake for me!”
Head Chef, Josh Pegado said “Being shortlisted for Ancillary Worker of the Year is a fantastic achievement and I am so proud to have been recognised.
“I have a really supportive team around me and I am grateful to both them and the residents for this nomination.”
The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at Epsom Downs Racecourse this Friday.
