Hallmark Care Homes scoops two titles at the Wales Care Awards

We are delighted to announced that two Hallmark team members have scooped awards at the prestigious Wales Care Awards.

Lily Chapman, who works as Lifestyles Team Leader at Ty Enfys Care Home, was presented with the silver award in the ‘Promoting Fulfilled Lives’ category, alongside Julie Sheen, Care Assistant at Greenhill Manor Care Home, who scooped Bronze in the ‘Outstanding Service’ category.

The prestigious awards, first established in 2003 by Care Forum Wales, seek to reward the champions in the sector and raise public awareness of the vital contribution made by the social care workforce.

Lily said: “The whole process has meant so much to me, first to be nominated, then shortlisted and finally to receive the silver award!

“It was an amazing night with everybody looking absolutely beautiful and it was great to be around such inspiring people who all strive to make a difference every day.”

Julie said: ““It was fantastic be put forward by both the team and residents at Greenhill Manor.

“It was an amazing feeling to be recognised amongst thousands of Care Assistants, but it wouldn’t have been possible without the rest of the brilliant and caring team at Greenhill Manor.”

A panel of judges interviewed Lily and Julie earlier this year along with two other entrants from each category before coming to their decision.

Entrants were judged on their passion for making a difference, their practices in promoting dignity, respect and independence and their skills and knowledge relevant to the category.
