Lakeview and Banstead Manor shortlisted for Surrey Care Awards
We are delighted to announce that team members from two of our care homes have been shortlisted for prestigious awards!
Team members from our two surrey homes, Lakeview and Banstead Manor, are in the running to scoop accolades at the Surrey Care Awards.
Banstead Manor Care Home in Banstead, which opened in May this year, has been shortlisted in the ‘Innovation and Good Practice in Staff Recruitment & Retention’ category.
Meanwhile, Jean Griffiths from Lakeview Care Home in Lightwater, has been shortlisted in the ‘Most Innovative Activity Programme involving Service Users’ category for her jam-packed, exciting activities programme.
The Surrey Care Awards, established in 2008, seeks to acknowledge and celebrate the very best people in the care sector, in and around the Surrey area.
Recruitment Co-ordinator at Banstead Manor, Emma Weller said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the recruitment category at the Surrey Care Awards.
“We work hard to ensure our team members are engaged, focused and happy by providing a thorough induction, training and opportunity for progression.
“We are looking forward to the awards ceremony on Friday. Just to be recognised is an achievement in itself.”
Lifestyle Leader, Jean Griffiths said: “I love my role as Lifestyles Leader and I love coming to work every day.
“Making a difference to the lives of the residents and their relatives has made me a better person. The residents are at the heart of everything we do at Lakeview and it’s an absolute pleasure to work in their home. This is just the icing on the cake for me!”
Lakeview’s success comes after they scooped two Surrey Care Awards last year, including the reputable ‘Care Team of the Year’ award.
The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at Epsom Downs Racecourse this Friday.
