Bucklesham Grange celebrates the start of Springwatch

Residents at Bucklesham Grange Care Home recently celebrated the start of this year’s BBC Springwatch by recreating their very own exciting way for residents to get involved.

Team members at the home created their own costumes from materials around the home, dressed up and made socially distanced visits to residents’ windows doors and patios.

The residents at the home were given a Springwatch animal tick sheet and had to tick off each animal as they saw them. The team members dressed up as a variety of different animals such as; a spider, frog, monkey, lion, cow, pig, elephant, rabbit, zebra, butterfly, cat, panda, and turtle.

Lifestyles Team Leader at the home, Kirsty Thomas said: “There was lots of smiles and laughter during the day and the residents thoroughly enjoyed the Springwatch.

“All team members made a real effort to make their own costumes to entertain the residents and there was so much fun had by all.”
