Two Hallmark team members win at NAPA Member Awards

We are delighted to announce that two of our team members have won awards at the NAPA Member Awards, which took place on Friday virtually.

The awards seek to recognise individuals who are innovative and creative in the way they meet the needs of the people they support and who show exceptional commitment and a skilled approach to prioritising wellbeing.

Head of Dementia Care and Wellbeing, April Dobson, scooped the Leadership Award, and Lifestyles Assistant at Ty Enfys Care Home, Ben Cowley, won the Best Activity Provider Award.

April Dobson said: “When I think of all the incredible people who work so hard to help older people enjoy life to the full, it feels such a privilege to have been given this award from NAPA.

“I believe that Hallmark lifestyles teams, and everyone involved in activities provision, are skilled, creative, and professional practitioners.  My goal has always been for this to be recognised more widely which is why I wholeheartedly support NAPA and value our membership.

“This award is another step towards achieving that ambition and I want to say a big ‘thank you’ to our Chair, Avnish Goyal, and to our senior leaders for their commitment and support for the Hallmark Care Homes Tree of Life programme.”

Ben Cowley said: “After five years of working in the Lifestyles Team at Ty Enfys I was absolutely thrilled to be recognised by NAPA. I qualified as a Music Therapist whilst in this role so I really feel this award has elevated me in my field now and recognised my expertise.

“Thank you so much to everyone who wrote testimonials and really made it their business to evidence their appreciation and passion for what I bring. I feel really seen and I am not sure I can completely put my gratitude into words.

“The support, encouragement and involvement from all the team members at Ty Enfys is what has given me strength and confidence to keep going. Hallmark are doing fantastic work at embedding a whole home approach to lifestyles and I hope no team member will ever underestimate their importance and potential to make a positive difference.”

Congratulations to all of the worthy winners.
