Hutton View celebrates first birthday

Hutton View, our care home in Brentwood, recently marked it’s first birthday with a party for team members, residents and relatives.

The the milestone event was celebrated with an afternoon of food, drinks and live entertainment from a pianist. The event was culminated with speeches from the homes’ General Manager, Louise Baxter and Regional Manager, Martin Murphy.

The home hosted a virtual launch in November 2020 using technology, believed to be the first virtual opening of a care home, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Lifestyles Team Leader at the home, Sue Wardle said: “I am fairly new to Hutton View and it was wonderful to be a part of the warmth, joy and triumphs shared in our first birthday party.

“These reflected the genuine feeling of privilege to work with our residents in their home that I know the whole team feels”

Resident at Hutton View, Daphne Cole, 83, said: “It was a lovely party and I’m so glad we did something to celebrate our special occasion.”

Hutton View provides residential, dementia and nursing care and facilities at the home include; a hair salon, therapy room, cinema, celebrations room, music room, library, farmhouse kitchen, terrace and beautiful landscaped gardens.
