Ty Enfys Care Home celebrates 15 years!

Our care home in Pentwyn, Cardiff celebrated 15 years since it first opened its doors recently with an exclusive event for residents, relatives and members of the local community.

Ty Enfys Care Home, which welcomed its first residents in 2007, recognised individuals who have contributed to its success at the event with canapes’, champagne, a harpist and a magician.

As part of the milestone event, a commemorative plaque was unveiled by the The Lord Mayor of Cardiff Rod McKerlich on a living wall, created by our home’s gardener.

Guests then enjoyed tours of our home’s £1.1million recently refurbished facilities which include a traditional Farmhouse Kitchen which will be used for baking and reminiscence activities, pub with its own built-in bar and dart board, indoor garden room, state of the art cinema room, and corner shop.

The Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Cllr Rod McKerlich said: “I was delighted to visit Ty Enfys Care Home to join in with the celebrations to mark 15 years of outstanding care and community friendships, and to witness first-hand the new refurbished facilities. The home has a wonderful team of dedicated staff and I would like to thank Ty Enfys for being pillars of the community for the past 15 years and for showing such absolute strength and togetherness in truly challenging times.”

General Manager at Ty Enfys Care Home, Sujjata Singh said: “We at Ty Enfys take great pride in what we do. It’s not just a job, it’s a passion. Yesterday’s fabulous celebrations are just the beginning, we are moving forward towards a new chapter.”
