From the moment I joined Alexandra Grange in June 2020 as Deputy Manager, I felt part of something special — a warm, caring community where residents are truly known, families feel reassured, and every day is shaped around the people who live here.
My name is Pinky, and Alexandra Grange is a home that means a great deal to me. I have always believed that care should feel personal. It is not only about what someone needs, but who they are, what brings them joy, and the little moments that make them feel at home.
Whether it is offering reassurance, sharing a smile, or taking the time to listen properly, those small moments can mean everything.
I have been a nurse for 27 years, spending the past 18 years within the UK care home sector. Throughout that time, my passion has always been caring for residents as individuals, making sure each person feels listened to, respected and supported in a way that feels right for them.
In August 2022, I was promoted to General Manager, a role I feel extremely honoured and privileged to hold. We have a wonderful team here at Alexandra Grange, and I am very proud of the kindness, honesty and dedication they bring each day.
Together, we help residents live as the individuals they have always been, with dignity, respect and plenty of heart. Our aim is to offer peace of mind to families, knowing their loved one is cared for, supported and truly known.
