Midford Manor Care Home and kind-hearted students from Bath College have come together to Pay it Forward to parents’ and carers from Three Ways Special School.

To mark the national day which encourages others to give and make a positive difference, volunteers from Three Ways School, Midford Manor and Bath College pulled together to offer a free pamper day and afternoon tea to offer some well-deserved respite. Bath College Academy Complimentary Therapies students gave amazing hand and arm massages, 3 Cafe Kitchen produced delicious scones and cakes and all guests had a beautiful pamper box from Midford Manor.

Lucy Beattie Fundraising, Marketing and Development Manager at Three Ways said: “It is so wonderful to be able to work with Midford Manor to put together a pamper day for the parents and carers at Three Ways. To be able to treat parents and carers, give a little bit of respite and a small gift is so lovely. Parents and Carers have a massive work load but if you have a child with special needs that can often manage juggling a huge number of appointments, paperwork and caring alongside everyday life. A massive thank you to Midford Manor for Paying it forward and enabling us to treat our parents and carers and to Bath College students for providing the pamper treatments.”

Michelle Wintle, Customer Relationship Manager at Midford Manor Care Home said: “We were delighted to able to support this event and work with 3 Café Kirchen and Bath College who have generously given their time. It’s not easy being a mum and every mum deserves a treat every now and then so it was lovely to be able to do something nice for parents, carers and some grandparents at Three Ways School.”
