Our care team in Ipswich has won a national award for their activity provision. Bucklesham Grange Care Home on Bucklesham Road, won The Activity Team of the Year title at the prestigious NAPA Member Activity Awards.

The NAPA Member Activity Awards organised by the National Activity Providers Association celebrates national excellence in activity provision.

The purpose of the awards is to recognise the incredible contribution of individuals and teams who demonstrate outstanding commitment and expertise in providing activities to those living in care homes, day centres and hospitals.

Lifestyle’s Leader at Bucklesham Grange, Kelly Sheeran said: “It’s been a pleasure leading the lifestyles team. Our job is making others happy and it is such a rewarding feeling to be able to do that daily.

“This reflects onto my team who also want the best wellbeing for our residents. So, to get this award really means a lot, and it has now given us an extra little boost to do even better in the future.

“This award would not have been won without the support of all team members. Those that do that bit extra to give a positive impact.

“When I see a housekeeper singing, care team dancing with residents or the kitchen team putting on amazing spreads for events or the reception team chatting to residents, these all input into activities. Everyone goes above and beyond and I am very proud of my team.”

Bucklesham Grange Care Home, established 10 years ago, provides award-winning residential and dementia care. Its facilities include; a café, cinema, hair salon, therapy room and landscaped gardens.
