Hallmark Chamberlain Court Care Home has received national recognition after winning the Best Dementia Design category at the prestigious Healthcare Design Awards.

The awards ceremony, held at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, celebrates innovation and excellence in the design of healthcare environments across the UK.

Chamberlain Court provides residential, nursing and dementia care, with facilities including a hair salon, cocktail bar, cinema and café, helping residents maintain familiar routines.

Judges recognised the home’s transformation of its corridor areas into purposeful, engaging environments that actively support residents’ wellbeing.

Newly installed Montessori-inspired activity stations within the dementia community encourage interaction, stimulate memory and help residents maintain independence.

General Manager Judy Heathfield-Eliott said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition for our dementia-focused design. We understand that thoughtful, person-centred environments can make a real difference to people living with dementia – helping them feel more comfortable, confident and able to stay engaged in everyday life.”

Entries were reviewed by an expert panel, who assessed how each design demonstrated an understanding of residents’ needs and delivered a therapeutic environment.

This is the second national design award for Chamberlain Court, which was previously named Best New Care Home at the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.
