We are incredibly proud to share that three outstanding Hallmark team members have been shortlisted for The UK Dementia Awards, recognising their dedication, compassion, and innovation in supporting people living with dementia.
At Hallmark Henley Manor, Dementia Care Manager Charli Morgan and Deputy Manager Lyssa Fedillaga have been named finalists in the End-of-Life Care category. Their work has been recognised alongside leading professionals and specialist hospice teams from across the country – an achievement that reflects the exceptional standard of care delivered within the home.
In addition, Salma Walizadeh from Hallmark Kew House has been shortlisted in the Dementia Research category, highlighting her contribution to advancing knowledge and best practice in dementia care.
Elham Faramarzian, General Manager at Henley Manor, shared what this recognition means to the team: “Everything we do here is focused on helping residents live life to the full – supporting independence and preserving dignity through compassionate, relationship-centred care. We place residents and their families at the heart of all we do. This recognition means so much to our team and reflects our commitment to providing high-quality care at every stage of the dementia journey.”
Charli Morgan expressed her pride in the team’s achievement: “I am absolutely thrilled and deeply honoured to be named a finalist. This recognition means so much to our entire team, who are passionate about providing compassionate, person-centred support during one of the most important stages of life.
Our approach is informed by research and evidence-based care, including practices such as Namaste Care, which focus on comfort, dignity, and connection. These principles guide us in delivering thoughtful, skilled end-of-life care – not only for our residents, but also for their families and loved ones, ensuring they feel supported throughout.”
Lyssa Fedillaga added: “It is a privilege to be recognised through these nominations. Being selected as finalists at a national level, alongside hospice teams who are experts in this field, is truly heart-warming. We are proud that our work has resonated and hope it inspires others to provide end-of-life care that is both creative and deeply personal.”
The winners will be announced at a gala awards lunch in Warwickshire on the 30th April, in what promises to be a meaningful celebration of excellence in dementia care.
We wish Charli, Lyssa, and Salma the very best of luck and thank them for the extraordinary care, compassion, and expertise they bring to residents and their families every day.
