Hallmark Tŷ Porth Luxury Care Home was delighted to welcome Minister for Children and Social Care, Dawn Bowden, for the official launch of Wales’ new inspection rating system for care services, set to take effect on April 1st.

The event was attended by Minister Dawn Bowden, residents, team members, members of the national press, and representatives from Hallmark’s regional team. During the event, the press captured the Minister’s announcement and conducted interviews with Hallmark Luxury Care Homes CEO, Aneurin Brown, as well as residents and their families, discussing how the new system will enhance care standards across Wales.

Under the new system, all care homes and domiciliary support services in Wales will be assessed across four key themes: Well-being, Care and Support, Leadership and Management, Environment

Each category will be rated as Excellent, Good, Requires Improvement, or Requires Significant Improvement. Currently, all of Hallmark’s care homes in Wales hold ratings of Good or Excellent.

CEO of Hallmark Care Homes, Aneurin Brown, said: “It was an honour to welcome the Minister for Children and Social Care to Hallmark Tŷ Porth for the official announcement of the new inspection rating system in Wales.

“We are proud that during the pilot phase, three of our homes received an ‘Excellent’ rating, and we look forward to working with CIW as they conduct future inspections under the new framework.”
