We are delighted to announce that Hutton View, our care home in Brentwood, has won a prestigious design award.
Our industry-leading home, which was built by care home construction company Savista Developments, has won the ‘Best Exterior Space’ category at the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.
The national awards ceremony, first established in 1999, seeks to acknowledge the contribution made by designers, architects and the owners of care homes, hospitals and other care schemes to the well-being and quality of life for those in their care.
Hutton View was recently announced as the winner at a glittering awards ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in Westminster.
Our home, which opened its doors in November 2020, boasts many state-of-the-art features, including a café, hairdressers, cinema, therapy room and hair salon.
The gardens at Hutton View are broken down into smaller intimate spaces that are surrounded by existing trees. They also offer continual pathways taking residents and visitors past a greenhouse, summerhouse with a kitchen and outdoor WC, raised planters, an area where residents can participate in minigolf and an aviary.
Outdoor spaces have been created on the upper levels within each community and residents have access to patios with outdoor seating in the ground floor bedrooms, dining rooms and lounges.
General Manager at Hutton View, Louise Baxter said: “The team at Savista and Hallmark worked extremely hard to make the outdoor space a tranquil haven for residents to continue a love for gardening, enjoy the fresh air and take part in activities such as minigolf.
The gardens at Hutton View are a key part of the resident’s wellbeing and we are extremely proud to have won this award.”
