A team member at Maycroft Manor, our care home in Brighton, has won a prestigious national award. Emily Carver-Prue was awarded the ‘Best Activity Lifestyle Lead’ at the annual National Dementia Care Awards.

The glittering awards ceremony took place at Winchester Cathedral on Thursday 29th September. First established in 2009 by The Journal of Dementia Care, the awards seek to acknowledge care providers and individuals who have made a significant difference to the quality of life of people living with dementia.

Speaking of the win, Emily said: “I am over the moon to have received this award at the National Dementia Care Awards.

“Thanks as always to Head of Dementia Care and Wellbeing at Hallmark, April Dobson, for being so inspirational and Maycroft Manor’s fabulous team who never say no to flying kites in wheelchairs, and getting therapy donkeys in the lift.”

Emily also won Lifestyles Team Member of the Year at the company’s internal awards ceremony recently, the Hallmark Care Homes awards.
