At Hallmark Luxury Care Homes, making a positive difference is at the heart of everything we do – it’s in our DNA. That’s why sustainability is more than just a goal, it’s a fundamental part of our purpose. So it won’t come as a surprise that we take sustainability seriously.

We are committed to embedding sustainable practices into every aspect of our operations, decision-making, processes and culture. And, while we’re proud of the progress we’ve made so far, we still have further to go.

Turning the Heat Down

You’ve probably heard a lot about carbon footprints. At Hallmark, we’re deeply committed to reducing our global warming potential and greenhouse gases that contribute to the size of our carbon footprint. While we’re not literally turning down the heat in all our homes, we are continuously measuring and refining our practices, systems, and operations. Our goal is to minimise our environmental impact while maintaining the highest standards of care and comfort for all those living and working in our homes.

Waste Warriors

We operate a zero-waste-to-landfill policy across all our homes, with the newly introduced Waste Warriors actively boosting the volume of recyclables sorted at the point of disposal.

Driving Change

With 22 homes dotted across England and Wales, we’re reducing our carbon footprint with 81% of our company fleet now electric or hybrid and 40% of our homes with EV charging points.

Every Watt Counts

Every Hallmark home is powered by green tariff electricity and we’re working on getting a clearer picture of how energy is used by keeping an eye on half-hourly consumption. This helps us better understand the energy patterns in our homes. From there, we can respond and develop smarter, more efficient energy habits!
