Life at Arlington Manor
For older people looking for residential care in Cambridgeshire, we believe that Arlington Manor offers a perfect balance of maintaining quality of life while being able to receive high quality care. Residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Our relationship-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved – the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy. So as part of our Cambridge-based community, they’re able to cook, help out in the garden and carry on with the kind of everyday routines which make their lives theirs.
Our seven double suites mean couples can stay together, enjoying their own space with an ensuite, sleeping area and dining area along with a kitchenette. Our facilities allow residents to carry on enjoying the everyday routines they cherish, including having their weekly hair and nail appointment at the luxurious salon or catching up with friends in the vibrant cafe.
Our dining rooms also have open kitchen areas to enable residents to help with the preparation of meals if they wish to and our celebrations room enables residents to still be a part of family events, from birthdays and anniversaries to a family reunion.
Our Cambridge care home also features a dedicated cinema room, so residents can enjoy watching their favourite films or catch up on the latest series on Sky. Beautiful, landscaped gardens surround the home and include an outdoor activities room, enabling residents to enjoy the fresh air whilst taking part in some much-loved pastimes. We support residents, and their loved ones, to maintain their relationships and keep their close connection via various digital platforms such as iPads and Facebook Portal devices, which allows loved ones to see photos, send messages and share videos. This means you can still communicate with residents no matter how far away you may be.
Why choose a care home in Cambridge?
When looking for care homes in Cambridge, we believe our care home, Arlington Manor, is the perfect choice for you. Our dedicated, responsive and well led team will work closely with residents to empower them to take part in engaging activities that are tailored to their needs and based on lifestyle preferences at our care home in Cambridgeshire. These will take place both within the care home in Cambridgeshire and in Cambridge itself and the surrounding areas with the support of the Oomph! minibus, and include a spot of gardening, fun fundraising days for local charities and excursions to the theatre, exhibitions and local community events.
We understand that your beloved pets are a part of your family and believe every effort should be made to ensure they are not left behind when you move into a care home. Wherever possible, we support residents to welcome their four-legged friends and we work with The Cinnamon Trust to ensure pets are exercised if residents are too poorly to do so. At Arlington Manor we believe that relationship-centred care encompasses all relationships in a person’s life and that the relationship a person has with their much-loved pet can be as strong and as rewarding as a human relationship. There are also many emotional and health benefits that animals bring to older people. Find out more here.
